Strength Training for CYCLISTS

I'm really excited to share with you my debut article in Canadian Cycling magazine.  This is a Canadian magazine seen all across the nation.  I'm very proud to contribute to this publication as it's a sister magazine to Canadian Running.

Speaking of Canadian Running magazine, be sure to check out the next issue (March/April 2011) for my next piece on how to become a strong and powerful runner.

In this Canadian Cycling article called "Weight Training - Forget your Tires, Pump up Your Body," I discuss:
  • Myths associated with endurance sports and weight lifting
  • Effective program design for the cyclist
  • The research behind WHY cyclists should MAXIMAL strength train
  • 2 awesome exercises; 1 for power development and the other for strength

Be sure to stop by Chapters or Save-On Foods and check it out.

Thanks for reading,

Jon-Erik Kawamoto, CSCS, CEP
